Enaltecer Education Consulting is a woman-owned firm that specializes in professional development for Multilingual Learner (ML) achievement. We provide comprehensive, customized services designed to build educator capacity in serving linguistically diverse students through an asset-based mindset. Our mission is to promote educational equity and celebrate linguistic diversity as a valuable resource in today’s classrooms. At Enaltecer Education Consulting, we specialize in empowering educators of Multilingual Learners (MLs) and leveraging their strengths and assets to elevate acievement. Through hands-on, practical training and expert guidance we focus on enhancing teacher effectiveness, and promoting equitable instruction to imporove student outcomes.

About Our Founder

Tyler M. Ramey, founder of Enaltecer Education Consulting, has over two decades of experience as an educator specializing in multilingual learner support. Her wide range of experience and commitment to high-quality, equitable education was the driving force behind the creation of Enaltecer. The name "Enaltecer," derived from Spanish, perfectly embodies her vision, meaning to elevate or enhance. Just as the name suggests, Tyler aims to uplift educators, students, and educational systems by providing tailored consulting services focused on enhancing instruction. Tyler is known for her direct, engaging style and practical strategies that empower teachers to see measurable growth in their students. Tyler has a proven record of helping beginner-English-speaking students achieve fluency and academic success in record time. Tyler’s work emphasizes collaboration, sustainability, and the belief that supporting multilingual learners is a shared responsibility.

Our Consultants

Mary DeSimone

Mary is an experienced educator, consultant, and coach dedicated to ensuring multilingual learners have full access to a high-quality education. With over 20 years as an EL teacher, instructional coach, and district administrator, she works to ensure ELs attain both English proficiency and full participation in the standard instructional program. She partners with districts and educators to create inclusive learning environments where ELs can meaningfully engage in all curricular opportunities. Through her work, she equips teachers with the knowledge and confidence to implement research-based strategies that support multilingual learners while strengthening overall instruction. Mary is committed to fostering equitable education systems and creating confident educators of multilingual learners.

Tamara Eklof

Tamara Eklof has served as a teacher of English learners in New York City, a high school principal with 1200 students, and is currently a District Coordinator of Multilingual Programs and Federal Grant Programs in Vermont. Tamara grew up in a multilingual/multicultural family and believes that high-quality instruction and the cultivation of a sense of belonging to a community helps all students grow and thrive. Tamara holds a Curriculum Director License and a NYC Superintendent certificate. She is in year three of the Educational Leadership and Policy doctoral program at the University of Vermont. As a consultant, she provides district-level support with the program evaluation and setting goals as well as ongoing support with policies, procedures and implementation.
